We perform standard dust tests to analyse the effect of dust and sand on automobile components. We have three dust test chambers for examining dustproofness, contamination, surface resistance and operability of objects under the influence of dust.
Our facilities can be used for testing in compliance with standards such as DIN EN60068-2-68, MIL-STD 810, IP protection tests according to DIN 40 050, IEC EN 60529 and VDE 0470 as well as tests according to various manufacturer-specific standards.
Large dust test facility
A continuously adjustable radial fan produces variable-speed flow fields in the test chamber as required. A metering device blasts dust into the wind tunnel with short bursts of compressed air and thus keeps constant the continuously measured dust concentration during the test. Dustproof electrical heating elements and water heat exchangers permit the air in the wind tunnel to be heated and cooled. Strong circulation ensures even distribution of heat in the test chamber.

Medium dust test facility
A specified volume of dust is distributed in the test chamber through agitation and allowed to settle on the test item. A vacuum can be generated in the test item for extreme dustproofness testing.
