Increasingly more tests are being moved from the road to test benches and simulation facilities. In fact, many tests today can be mapped in the laboratory, which is less time-consuming and cheaper, but there will never be a complete substitute for vehicle road tests. It is often exactly the subjective impression of a tester or experienced team that is important and decisive for further development. Thus certain functions can only be evaluated conclusively in road tests.
We provide the following services for this:
- Metrological application of test vehicles, road tests performed by trained IABG staff for the determination of operational loads, for example, with strain gauge application steering gear, verification of customer-developed control device functions (e.g. snow-chain detection).
- Automation solutions for road tests, e.g. development of software solutions to support drivers (automated testing of chassis control systems).
- Measurement data preparation, evaluation and analysis.
- Assessment of the driving and ride comfort.
