|  In times of constant innovation and growing time and cost pressure, it is increasingly important that the qualification process for components and sub-assemblies can be completed rapidly. A defect that is not detected in time results in high costs and, in the worst-case scenario, also tarnishes the reputation of the manufacturer. Given the current trend for virtual product development, experimental investigations are therefore an absolute necessity.
The demands relating to lightweight construction and the materials used have made durable designs and proof of stability more important. We assume responsibility for the calculation of load data, we perform sensitivity analyses and we test materials, components and sub-assemblies for stability on our test stands. In our material laboratory, we investigate materials, methods of bonding and construction and use the results to propose design-related improvements.
Vehicles must also be reliable under extreme environmental conditions and function for the whole of the desired operational life. In our laboratory, we reproduce real environmental conditions in order to examine the reaction of individual components or systems under such conditions. Our controlled environmental test chambers are large enough to facilitate testing of complete vehicles. |
