IABG – Your Partner in the Rail Vehicle Industry

Our highly qualified, experienced and motivated staff can help rail vehicle manufacturers handle a wide range of challenges.

We have a 5,000 square-metre covered test area with a modern infrastructure and central supply of hydraulic fluid, compressed air and cooling water at our headquarters in Ottobrunn near Munich. And we maintain three large test halls (with a total of 12,000 square metres) in Dresden and Erding.

IAGB has been a competent development partner for the rail vehicle sector for years, contributing computation services to high-level projects such as the ICE high-speed train. Our core activities include testing components, building and operating customer-specific test benches as well as providing development services.

IABG is entitled to perform audits according to DIN EN ISO / IEC17025 in the framework of activities pursuant to the 2008/57/EG directive and its technical specifications for interoperability and is authorised to bear the title of acknowledged EISENBAHN-CERT subcontractor.

For component and structure testing, we have the appropriate infrastructure to perform evaluations for environmental simulations, including temperature, climate, dust, corrosion and stone impact simulations, as well as tests for fatigue strength. These are carried out according to relevant manufacturer and railway company standards. Our materials testing laboratory expands our offering, providing any necessary failure and damage analyses.

We also provide development services specific to the rail vehicle industry. We support our customers' own product development activities with expert advice in matters concerning functional safety and with technical computations such as hazard and risk analyses, fatigue strength calculations, flow simulation, analysis of non-linear structural dynamics and simulations for oscillations and acoustics.

Based on high precision sensor systems and efficient processing methods, our geospatial experts supports the process of planning, acquisition and monitoring of railway tracks. A long time experience of complex IT, Geodata and SAP projects ensures a safe handling of big data and the development of processes for quality assurance for the documentation, maintenance and assets accounting.

Our clients benefit from our long-term experience, state of the art systems and individual advise.
