The President of Paraguay visits the A380 test hall in Dresden

On Saturday, 16 October 2004, the President of Paraguay, Oscar Nicanor Duarte Frutos, visited the A380 test hall in Dresden. There in its Dresden plant, IABG tests the aircraft together with its partner company IMA.

The President marvelled at the final assembly of the A380, where currently approx. 80 Airbus employees were assembling the five aircraft sections (fuselage, middle piece, cockpit section, right and left wing) to form the fifth aircraft of the A380 series.

Karen Rauschenbach, Project Leader for Transportation and Final Assembly at Airbus, introduced the President and his entourage (wife and son and 50 persons from Protocol, translators and bodyguards) in Spanish to the world of the A380.
