From September 15th to 18th 2008 IABG successfully underwent a recertification audit according to EN/AS 9100 in its divisions aeronautics and space. The EN/AS 9100 is a standard especially tailored to the requirements of the aeronautic and space industry, which applies to all enterprises operating in this sector. With its quality and safety requirements it by far exceeds those of ISO 9001.
Due to this set of rules TÜV SÜD America Inc. issued the certificate for the activities of IABG within the division aeronautics and space at the sites Ottobrunn and Dresden effective as of 31 October 2008. The new certificate is valid through 31 October 2011.
