The shortages in the address sector in the Internet are already today restricting the introduction of innovative services and represent a barrier for the future development of the Internet. The new Internet protocol IPv6 is currently the sole alternative for the prevention of this situation. For many years IABG has been active in the development, standardisation and the testing of IPv6. As part of numerous research projects involving the European Commission, ESA and NATO, IABG has acquired substantial skills in the design, structure and operation of IPv6 networks and passes this experience as a system specialist and consultant to its customers. To promote the quick introduction and dissemination of IPv6 in Germany, IABG founded the German IPv6 Task Force (<link file:512 _blank download herunterladen der datei>press release / German), together with eight other associations and companies in science and industry.
