IABG opens new office in Berlin-Mitte

IABG today opens its new offices at Friedrichstraße 185 in Berlin-Mitte. Over 100 guests from the sectors of politics, business and science are expected on this occasion. As a special guest, IABG welcomes Dr. Katrin Suder, Secretary of State in the Federal Ministry of Defence, who will address guests at the opening ceremony delivering a short speech.

IABG has been represented in Berlin for 25 years already and today employs 34 staff in the capital. From its Berlin location, IABG supports federal and state authorities in developing and operating digital radio for government agencies and organisations with security tasks (BOS). IABG supports the State of Brandenburg in connecting control centres of police and fire-fighting forces to BOS digital radio. In the context of this project, IABG specialists are entrusted with the project’s steering and implementation and contribute their technical expertise directly on-site with the customer.

From the Berlin location the largest German BOS control centre is being planned, i.e. a redundant ICT infrastructure with a uniform, future-oriented and open mission control and communication system as well as further system components for the Berlin police and fire-fighting forces. We are in charge of security management during the introduction and operation of digital radio in Germany.

In addition to that, IABG Berlin has furnished redevelopment services in the area of contaminated site investigation and remediation for years. A priority hereby has been the categorisation of suspicious surfaces on former GDR territories and the development of a decontamination methodology.
Currently IABG Berlin supports the technical project steering for the remediation of the former military sites of Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Liebenau and Dörverden. IABG moreover pursues challenging projects within the sectors of environmental, nature and flood protection. In this context, IABG is presently contracted to secure the regional flood risk management in the Elbe catchment areas in the district of Prignitz and Havel in Brandenburg.

The new subsidiary has a representative conference area with two modern meeting rooms. On request, these can also be made available to customers and partners for exclusive meetings. The central situation of the new branch facilities are of crucial advantage. IABG is now located in the immediate vicinity of important political and business stakeholders in the capital.

Thanks to the proximity of IABG’s new office to the Federal Ministry of Defence, the company furthermore extends its possibilities of optimally supporting this Ministry and of even better fulfilling its role as a reliable and independent partner of the German Federal Armed Forces.
