Lively interest was sparked by German Aerospace Day held by IABG on 20 September. More than 1200 visitors from the surrounding communities used this opportunity to have a more detailed look at our testing facilities. Nor did many of our staff want to pass up this chance for displaying to their families and friends at closer range the enormous range of services IABG provides.
The program featured guided tours through the Space Centre and the Aeronautic Test Centre as well as the nearby Magnetic Field Simulation Facility. Our SIT (Simulation, Integration and Test Centre) as well as the flight simulator provided the visitors with insider views into the business of Defence & Security. Our specialists described in a competent and intelligible manner the backgrounds of the various tests and facilities and did their best to answer the many questions raised by inquisitive visitors. Upon leaving, many of these visitors thanked IABG for our interesting program and the very well organised guided tours.
