Cost Analyses and Estimates

Whether it is a question of a new toll system costing many million euro more than originally planned or in-house projects going into the red – the reason is very probably the same: poor cost management. In practice, the following mistake is often made - only estimating the costs for the main phases of a project, or failing to adjust an existing cost estimate to match new requirements in the event of changes during the term of the project. Furthermore, company accounting is generally poorly equipped to determine the costs necessary for the planning and implementation of the project.

Financial management of the project therefore requires cost management capable of providing information in good time and at an appropriate level to ensure flexible project and cost management, thus avoiding cost overruns stemming from insufficient and incorrect data.

Our services

  • Estimation of the complete life cycle costs of a product:
    • Development costs
    • Production costs
    • Project planning costs
    • Introduction costs
    • Utilisation costs (operation and provision)
    • Disposal costs
  • Allocation of costs over the entire life cycle of a product
  • Monetary evaluation of performance requirement and changes in relation to a product using Quality Functional Deployment (QFD) analysis
  • Implementation of design-to-cost

Benefits for you

You benefit from genuine cost transparency:

  • You know the actual cost of the project. On this basis, you can decide whether the cost-utilisation ratio justifies execution of the project.
  • Based on the cost estimate, you can adapt the requirements of the project and have an overview of what is feasible or not within the bounds of a specified budget right from the start.
  • You can draw up a sound plan for your financial resources (when will money be needed and how much?)
