With effect from 01 October 2010 Matthias Spott (40) was appointed joint managing director of Industrieanlagen-Betriebsgesellschaft mbH (IABG) in Ottobrunn / Munich. Matthias Spott will assume operative responsibility for the development of new fields and markets across divisions (e. g. e-mobility, renewable energy, security), for today’s and future shareholdings and for the core functions corporate development, business organisation, strategic human resources and sales & marketing.
Within the management team the chairman of the board of management, Prof. Dr. Rudolf F. Schwarz, will continue to take responsibility for the operative business in the sectors Aeronautics, Space, Defence & Security, Automotive, InfoCom, Environment & Transport and for the key functions HR & legal affairs, finance and infrastructure.
After completing his engineering and aviation & space technology studies, Matthias Spott held various specialist and managerial positions with Dasa / EADS, McKinsey & Co., General Electric and recently worked as principal with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.
