| As appointed by the developing industry and with the support of the Ministry
of Transport, Building and Housing (BMVBW) we operate the Transrapid
test facility in Emsland. We are in the driving seat when it comes to “flying at zero height”.
Our tasks range from preparation and implementation of Maglev operation through to maintenance and repair of
all sub-systems. We are also developing the special measurement techniques needed, for example, to measure sound
emission and ground vibration. We organise and monitor quality assurance measures, prepare analyses on Maglev-specific
issues and develop observation and maintenance systems.
We are also a competent development partner for the rail vehicle sector. We were involved with our computation
services in the development of the ICE high-speed train. We conduct functional and fatigue tests and have developed and built an innovative wheel / rail simulation test stand. |
