Germany, Europe and the world are faced with completely new security challenges. The problems of the 21st century can only be solved multilaterally. The following remains true: the Armed Forces will continue to be indispensable in the future as a guarantor for the security of the country they represent and as a base for the foreign policy of the government they serve. What is changing is the type and place of the threat and the tasks and general conditions for the Armed Forces follow from this.
The transformation process that has been initiated in Germany and among its allies in Europe, NATO and OSCE countries is attempting to find answers to these challenges.
We take our role in this transformation process very seriously. With almost 50 years experience, around 350 specialists at four locations, high investments in a secure and high quality work environment, we put our expertise in this field at the service of our country and the forces defending it. Consequently, IABG is Germany's only private company which in its statutes grants special rights for safeguarding German government security interests.
Global terrorism and organised crime require the close integration of internal and external security measures. Police and authorities and organisations with security-related duties (BOS) need to be appropriately trained and technically equipped in such a way as to be able to fulfil their future responsibilities. We use our “Homeland Security” concepts and solutions to support the German Armed Forces and BOS in securing stability and peace. Our internationally recognised planning centres, simulation systems, experimental laboratories and technical test institutes all make a valuable contribution in this area. We cover all decision and implementation levels, ranging from politico-strategic to military operating and technical areas. |
