To ensure that our soldiers return home safely.
The losses incurred in conflicts in the past few years have shown how inestimable the dangers are for our soldiers. Protective measures have to be taken against snipers and mines, as well as against the dangers of chemical and biological agents. These protective steps range from the camouflaging of soldiers and equipment to the building of protective structures. Today’s much improved protection against mines is the result of extensive tests carried out at our locations in Lichtenau and Meppen. Also the shipyards know that reduced IR- and radar signatures contribute to a better survivability for new frigates and corvettes, and commission us to optimise these vessels.
Onboard computers are increasingly being used in modern military systems. With such systems, even the integrated hard- and software can be a crucial factor in survivability. In its capacity as an accredited test institute for secure software, IABG is very well aware of the problems involved and has many years experience in the development of security concepts, as well as in the analysis of risks and vulnerabilities. |
