Our experts have many years of experience with geodata of different specifications and thus have a clear view regarding sensors and applications. Depending on what the customer wants we collate representative data from the archive lists of established providers. Integral modules of our services include archive research, procurement of historical and current aerial and satellite images as well as geodata from public or commercial sources and, if necessary, statistics and socioeconomic data.

Image data and terrain models
 

Aerial photographs. Professional surveying flights using calibrated digital camera systems provide current images that can be evaluated photogrammetrically to an accuracy of just a few centimetres. IABG researches and procures relevant surveying flights for its customers.

 

Satellite image data. IABG researches, procures, and uses the latest satellite image data of various resolutions to extract the topography, make photogrammetric measurements, generate precision terrain models, create orthophotos and classifications.

 

Digital terrain models. In addition to the direct image data analysis, digital terrain models are derived from remote sensing data, which are essential tools for numerous thematic evaluations. IABG procures, generates, and refines 3D terrain data according to the scale of the required application.

Map research

Typical cases of application include the incorporation of topographic and/or geometric references, or expert supplementation. The IABG Geodata Service researches and evaluates supplementary map products and prepares them for use in final evaluation and analysis.

 

Vector/attribute data

The combination of existing (geo)datasets from different sources is indispensable for modern geodata infrastructure. The IABG Geodata Service researches the necessary and available data (e.g. official data, statistics, customer data, and terrain models) for customer-specific tasks and refines this data through intelligent linking and aggregation. Restructuring and migration to current data schemas provide our customers with an optimum basis for a future-oriented geodata infrastructure that can be employed in many different applications.
