The acquisition and extraction of data are the main cost factors when providing geoinformation. Compared with terrestrial methods it is possible to significantly reduce the costs for geodata acquisition using photogrammetric methods despite the high demands for quality. Individual surveying flight campaigns with accompanying evaluation of the stereo models make it possible to acquire current spatial data quickly and economically to produce high-quality databases for demanding fields of application.
Another advantage is the continuity of the procedures applied. Once a workflow has been created it can be used as often as required with different data sources and always provides a consistently homogeneous data structure. In this way the comparison of results guarantees constantly reliable information about the changes and the time dynamics.
