IABG hosts NATO CAX Forum 2016

IABG and the NATO Modelling and Simulation Centre of Excellence (M&S COE) invite guests to the 11th NATO CAX (Computer Assisted Exercises) Forum held from 20 to 23 September at IABG’s premises in Ottobrunn. Main topics of the forum are issues related to the technical and operational expertise of simulation-based mission, training and experiment support for armed forces. Objective is to promote the exchange of information, experience and best practices between NATO training centres and national simulation and training centres using synergies at the same time. A special workshop is dedicated to the topics of Hybrid Warfare, Strategic Simulation, Immersive Training and Cyber Warfare. In addition to that, the CAX Forum offers participating commercial, military and civilian organisations ample space to present their CAX and simulation-based solutions.

The forum is primarily aimed at national and international organisations confronted with the issues of Strategic Simulation and Computer Assisted Exercises. In focus are primarily NATO member states and their associated countries, but also NATO’s Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) and the so-called PfP (Partnership for Peace) states that cooperate with NATO in the military sector.

In the area of Computer Assisted Exercises, IABG provides consultancy and other support to armed forces and disaster relief organisations, using constructive simulation-related services for staff training and command post exercises. In this context, IABG offers leading-edge simulation systems, such as KORA and JASS, for the cost efficient execution of challenging exercises, integrating all support areas during all project phases of CAX.
