IABG opens its new office in Koblenz

On 23 January 2014 IABG opens its new office at the Koblenz location. The inauguration celebration will be held in the new office building of IABG on Ferdinand-Sauerbruch-Straße 28 which is located in direct vicinity to our former site.

A special characteristic of this newly constructed “green building” is its high resource efficiency, particularly in regard to energy, as the building functions without using fossil fuels and meets special insulation requirements. This brings a noticeable reduction of negative effects on health and the environment.

The building developed in a two-year planning and building phase is characterised by its ultramodern facilities. Once IABG Koblenz have moved in, they will not only have a modernized conference equipment at their disposal, but also a special tap-proof room which was implemented in co-operation with the Federal Office for Information Security Technology (BSI) and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi). This room is suited for meetings up to security classification SECRET. Also, lack of space is no longer an issue at IABG Koblenz as individual conference rooms can be transformed into one large 75 m2 conference room by simply opening a folding wall if necessary.

For the occasion IABG invited both customers and partners. High-ranking representatives in politics, business, the German Federal Armed Forces and public institutions were expected to come. During the inauguration, guests had the opportunity to take a tour of the new office building and take a closer look at the innovative facilities.

The celebration at the same time is IABG’s farewell to Manfred Braitinger, Head of the Defence & Security Division for many years, who is now looking forward to his well-deserved retirement. His successor in the function of Head of Defence & Security, Dr. Karsten Deiseroth, pays tribute to Manfred Braitinger’s life achievement: “With his untiring commitment for the company and by maintaining numerous excellent contacts to national and international agencies, Manfred Braitinger contributed considerably to the success of IABG in the business field of defence & security and passes on a well-run division“.
