Industrieanlagen-Betriebsgesellschaft mbH (IABG) has successfully undergone a Level 3 audit in compliance with TISAX specifications. Following a comprehensive assessment, certification was awarded by PwC Certification Services GmbH for “information with high protection level”. Thus once again IABG demonstrates the high level of security of the company and its services.
The TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) standard is designed for the mutual acceptance of information security assessments in the automotive industry. “The protection of customer and prototype data and information is a matter of course for us. We have accompanied the development of vehicles for many years. Our expertise lies in the development and operation of mechatronic test systems for OEMs and suppliers. This is inconceivable without the unconditional trust of our customers in the security of our infrastructures and in data and information security. The TISAX assessment – naturally at the highest level for very high protection requirements – is an official label and certifies our many years of expertise in the automotive sector,” says Dr. Oliver Kosing, Head of the Tests and Analytics Division at IABG.
The main advantages of the TISAX are a uniform level of information security in the industry and the intercompany recognition of the certificate. Nowadays, almost all OEMs and tier 1 suppliers require this certification.
The TISAX standard is essentially based on the universally recognised ISO/IEC 27001 standard for information security. It is considered to be applicable across sectors and is recognised as a method for secure processing of confidential information. TISAX requirements go beyond the protection of technical systems and also include non-digital systems such as paper archives, premises and security controls. IABG’s TISAX certification covers three modules: Prototype protection, connections to 3rd parties and information security.
The topic of Safety & Security is deeply rooted in IABG’s DNA as a BSI-certified testing agency for information security. Since its foundation, the company has been working on sensitive projects on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Defence and other security-critical industries. Building on its core competencies in the automotive and digital assurance sectors, IABG will in future also support other companies in tackling and successfully completing the TISAX certification process.
