IABG and integranova cooperate in the consolidation of application platforms and in service-orientated architectures

At the start of the world’s largest computer fair, CeBIT, IABG and integranova announced their co-operation in the software development sector. Both with public authorities and with banks and insurances, the new business partners see a high demand for rapid and trouble-free consolidation of legacy applications.

administrations as well as banks, financial service providers and insurances.

Together with IABG experts, integranova will re-model the business processes of these customers and subsequently transform the requirements into an operational application using the automated software system “OLIVANOVA - the transformation engine”.

The procedure shortens the development process, considerably, decreases costs, and operates error-free due to a patented validation procedure.  “The transformation engine” was introduced to the market in 2004 and has since been implemented in world-wide projects with a scope of approximately 1.4 million man days.

Joachim Fischer, member of the integranova management, states concerning the co-operation: “IABG adds to our team with their expert experience of over 40 years as an advisor of public authorities. The new partners have tested our system intensively and have been trained on it. Now workshops and the first customer projects start at the same time. We look forward to a successful co-operation.”

Jürgen Grundau, head of “Processes & Systems” at IABG: “At first our customers often doubt whether these projects can really be implemented without programming. But in view of rising costs and IT complexity, many experts gladly take a second look. This is when scepticism usually gives way to enthusiasm. For a start, integranova will take on a project in the Luxemburg banking sector together with us; shortly after that we will transfer the data base applications of the Bundeswehr to more up-to-date platforms.”

Steffen Reitz, Senior Manager in the field of banks, financial service providers and insurances: “Our practical experience in current projects points out how important a consolidation of existing legacy applications is. Such consolidation can be implemented efficiently and economically thanks to the direct combination of IABG consulting services and the solution of integranova.”

Apart from consolidating legacy systems, the two IT providers also want to help their customers migrate to new architecture platforms, in particular to service-orientated architectures (SOA). For this purpose, legacy systems are to be connected with new standard applications. This is where IABG benefits from another business partner of integranova: actum GmbH in Hamburg closed the gap between SAP and the transformation engine together with integranova. Present applications can thus be integrated fast into an SAP environment.
In the field of SOA, IABG wants to integrate logistics and controlling systems with the respective integrated master data management as well as the business intelligence of banks and insurances into the SAP world. These up-to-date and low-maintenance systems will also be created with aid of the transformation engine.
