Only last year, the Federal Government once again stressed the strategic partnership with Poland. A rising country at our borders, Poland intends to achieve much and impresses with a steady growth, also in times of financial and economic crisis: The modernization of traffic and IT infrastructures, development and expansion of renewable energies and last but not least modernization of the armed forces. With all these issues, Poland is a highly attractive market for IABG and also plays a pioneering role for other Eastern European countries.
Against this background, IABG decided to open the gates to this new market with the establishment of IABG Polska. This summer, IABG Polska was founded in Warsaw with IABG mbH retaining a controlling interest. The registration process has meanwhile been completed and the enterprise is now fully operational.
The objective now is to offer the entire service portfolio of the IABG group on the Polish market. Close co-operation of the existing organisational units with the team establishing itself in Warsaw is a pre-condition for successful development of the market. MSPO Expo, Europe’s third biggest defence fair, which took place from 5 to 8 September in the Polish town of Kielce, was chosen to present this partnership and the newly founded IABG Polska to the specialist public.
From IABG perspective, the highlight of the fair was the visit of the Polish Secretary of Defence who was guided directly to the IABG Polska exhibition booth. The fact that the official press release of the Polish Ministry of Defence then contained a photo with the IABG logo filled us and our Polish partners with pride.
We have thus taken a great step forward towards our goal of presenting IABG Polska as an enterprise and brand of the IABG group.
