US Army Corps of Engineers concludes framework contract with ARGE ITAM VIII

The US Army Corps of Engineers has contracted the ARGE ITAM VIII work group for their Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM). ARGE consists - at equal shares - of the companies Gibs geologen + ingenieure GbR (Nuremberg) and IABG (Ottobrunn). The framework contract has a duration of 5 years. It covers the European-wide provision of services within the areas of natural resources management for the support of an environmentally-sound military training on real estate properties of the US Army Europe (USAREUR). This particularly includes services in the areas of environmental management and remote sensing, the use of geographical information systems and aerial photography as well as environmental education tasks.

”ARGE is proud of having been selected to support this important environmental program of the US Army”, states Dr. Heinrich Schoger, managing director of Gibs. “The ARGE partners have already been supporting the US Army’s ITAM program since 1999, in particular within the areas of environmental management, environmental education, photogrammetry, remote sensing and geographical information systems.”

“We look forward to continuing this partnership in the context of the new contract and to providing our profound consulting and supporting services on all aspects of the sector geo data to the work group“, adds Dr. Jörg Schäfer, head of IABG’s “Geo data / Geoinformatics” department.
