Our facilities for wheel assembly tests now include the high-speed external drum test bench HATOR. The multiaxial test bench provides innovative testing capabilities for wheels, brake discs and tyres under realistic conditions, and supports speeds of up to 300 km/h.

Parallel wheel assembly tests can be conducted at two stations, in compliance with regulations such as AK LH 08, PV-5608, and SAE. HATOR can be used for tests with original wheel bearings, wheel mounts, and brake systems. Special features are: Four supplementary thermocouples, integrated measuring of up to eight DMS using telemetry, integrated pre-damaging, and processing of real-time signals (e.g. Nürburgring).

Besides the new external drum test bench, the qualification services of the IABG test centre for wheel assemblies include wheel bearing and rotating bending test machines, the flat track tyre test bench Flat-Trac® III CT, a brake disc test bench (BSP), and a radial impact test bench (RADIAS).
