We have three solar simulation chambers in which we can artificially age complete vehicles, components and samples in compliance with DIN ISO 75220 and MIL standards, for example.
Typical test items from the automotive sector include convertible tops, instrument panels, armrests, seats and rear shelves. In addition to radiation power levels of up to 1,050 W/m2 we also simulate the corresponding climatic conditions in our test chambers. Our facilities are fully automatic and meet all standard regulations.
Our solar simulation facilities reproduce the natural spectrum of the sun. In the chamber, the solar radiation can be combined with temperature and relative humidity. In this way, for example, we can check the aging of the plastic components of vehicles. We can vary the distance of the test item to the solar lamp array over a surface of 2 m x 3 m.
Complete vehicle chamber
In our multi-component car body test bench we combine mechanical loads with environmental conditions. We operate the test bench also as a pure solar simulation facility for applying the natural spectrum of sunlight on complete vehicles weighing up to 5 t. The distance and angle of the lamps can be adjusted individually group by group. This permits you to achieve uniform irradiance even on the curved surfaces of vehicle bodies.
