In September, DLR (German Aerospace Centre) organizes its German Aerospace Day once again. On this occasion we will open our doors
on Sunday, 20 September, 2009, from 10 am to 5pm
and provide to our visitors one more time “hands-on Aerospace and Space Technology”.
A program full of interesting features awaits you there. You can participate in interesting guided tours through our Space Center and to our Magnetic Field Simulation Facility. As a special highlight this year we organize guided tours through the testing facility of the Airbus A320 where currently fatigue tests are carried out for extending the life span of the aircraft.
Part of our program are tours through our Teleport where satellite-supported communication solutions for services such as internet, language and image processing are presented. You are also welcome to visit our high-tech Center for Simulation, Integration, and Testing (SIT) where we want to amaze you with multi-screen technology.
Creature comforts will also amply be provided for – at affordable prices for the entire family.
The first prize of the tombola wins you a flight in our flight simulator, but you will surely also enjoy the many other prizes you can win.
Not to forget our youngest visitors, we are providing guided tours through our Space Center specially targeted for kids. A child care center with many interesting activities round the program off.
